On Wednesday 20th September Relationships Scotland Dumfries & Galloway were delighted to welcome Natalie Don, Minister for Children, Young People and Keeping the Promise to our Dumfries Child Contact Centre.

She met with our CEO, John Dougan and Child Contact Centre Manager, Amanda Hannah and our Chair of the Board, Morag Chisholm and Trustee, Lynn McMurchie.

We were extremely pleased that the CEO of Relationships Scotland national office, Stuart Valentine and Head of Practice for Child Contact Services, Anne Gibson were also able to join us on the day.

The Minister heard at a round table discussion, about the services we offer both locally and nationally and chatted with clients who have used our counselling and child contact services, hearing about how using our services has helped them.

It was a very successful meeting with the Minister following up her visit later in the day with a Tweet saying:

“An excellent visit to @RelScotDG to see first-hand the valuable services they deliver. Speaking with those who had accessed these services, it was clear to see how valued they are, as well as the difference they are making to children and families.”
